Yea I guess I should explain this one a little bit because it's so crazy bright. Firstly this took me around 7-8 hours to do and I used pencil, water colours, and pastels mainly. For the netting effect I took some old netted tights, ripped them up and stretched it over the canvas before taking a wet sponge dipped in watercolours and dabbing over the netted tights to get the effect. The main reason I did this portrait so bright is that a lot of Bethany's makeup looks are using a lot of bright colours and I wanted to reflect that in the painting and the netted effect was done because it just reminded me of the sea so...yea....
